We were looking for a quiet place to spend some family time in the winter. Overlander Lodge fit the bill. The reception area was being renovated during our stay but we do interact with staff over the phone and email. They were very helpful in answering our questions. The Lodge is about 10 minutes from Hinton and 30 minutes to Jasper. It's also very close to Miette hot springs. There's lovely views as it is nestled at the foot of Folding Mountain. A local brewery and restaurants are close by as well - we did not go there during our stay. Our cabin was clean and the rooms were nice. Beds were comfortable. Nice closet of you are bringing lots of clothes.

We love going to the Overlander. Even though the main lodge was under construction, we loved our cabin. The fellow on duty was so nice, even brought us ice when we asked where to get Our steps were shoveled for when we woke up. (It's the little things). We will definitely go back and look forward to seeing the Reno's.

If you are headed into Jasper, keep driving a bit further (30mins) and this gem is located right in the heart of Yellowcounty. It's secluded and quiet and so peaceful! We got a little cabin and it was so cozy. The staff are unbelievably amazing and accommodating. There is no 'facilities ' here, so don't expect any hot tubs or pools. It's very boutique

Everything about our stay here was unique and enjoyable. The gentleman at the front reception was courteous and friendly...he shared knowledge of the area and safety with using bear spray which they had on hand. The rooms are clean and comfortable telling of a time gone by...charm, a little rustic and classy. The staff in the restaurant area were lovely in their service and the food delicious in its presentation and taste. A must for everyone to try.

We stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend and it was great! The food and service we received was amazing. The location’s view is great which I love the most is my coffee in the morning with the view but just a little bit of drive going to Jasper town. The advantage of that is you might be able to see the mountain goats along the road on your way to town. Great place get away!

I stayed in the mountain view cabin as a solo. An amazing room with a cozy balcony to enjoy some quiet time. The staff were amazing, helpful and it was great to have some local knowledge of the area. I was given a great hike suggestion. The two blokes at the check in desk (Operations and the FB Manager? I think?) were so helpful. The most friendliest people I have met on my trip. I never intended to eat the lodge every night, but I did. From the 6 weeks of travel I did, 2 of their meals were in my top 3 for the trip. The tasting Alberta 5 course meal I had on my last night was incredible, as was my friendly server. The restaurant views are amazing. It's a little far away from a lot of the main attractions but the scenery down the Yellowhead Highway makes it worth the trip. I will be back, perhaps for that winter holiday that you recommended!

We loved our 3 night stay at the Overlander. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had delicious and ample dinner twice and breakfast all three days. The grounds were lovely with lots of pretty flowers. The view of the Rockies was grand. Lots of personal space and privacy. A very peaceful and beautiful place to stay after a day of rafting, hiking, horseback riding, and sightseeing. Thank you.

Our stay at the overlander was absolutely lovely!! The gentleman at the front desk who check us in was so personable and kind! He brought us up a bottle of wine not long after we got to our room as we had told him it was our anniversary. they have many beautiful hiking trails around the property and i would definitely recommend going for a mountain view room with a balcony as the views are fantastic!!
